Photography Wisdom

This section is a constant or evolving work in progress and sometimes just notes I've added for self reflection in my photography....

• Look. See. Communicate. 
• Find the Light!
• Control light like your work depends on it - it does.  
• Open shade - keep models in shade and use the surrounding environment to create quality light. - think natural reflectors. 
• Don’t Take photos, MAKE Photos! 
• Look THROUGH your image - how’s the image foreground to backgrounds? Then don’t forget the Middle ground. 
• Layers & separation = depth. (The elements within). Create Depth. 
• Think of Unique Perspectives! How can you photograph this with a unique perspective?
• Focus on what you love!
• Remember - WIDES. MEDIUMS. TIGHTS. DETAILS. (capture the entire scene at play)
• For Portraits  • Engage with your subject. Make them feel a part of the process.  Don’t waste subjects time. • What angle are you shooting from. • What is the mood and emotion of the shoot. Use Mood boards. • What aperture will you shoot at.
